HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR STOCKHOLM
CITY HALL WEDDING
Getting married at Stockholm City Hall is simple, intimate, and beautifully organized.
Here's how to make sure your day feels relaxed and effortless.

1. Arrive Early
Plan to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before your ceremony time. This gives you space to breathe, check in calmly, and enjoy the anticipation.
2. Bring the Right Documents
Make sure you have valid IDs and all required paperwork approved in advance. Without it, the ceremony cannot take place.
3. Keep Guest Count in Mind
Up to 10 people are allowed inside, including your photographer. If you have more guests, they can wait outside and celebrate with you afterward.
4. Plan Time for Photos
The ceremony itself lasts only a few minutes. The magic happens before and after.
We can plan:
- Courtyard portraits
- Waterfront photos
- A short walk around the area
- Golden hour portraits for soft romantic light
Even 30-60 minutes makes a big difference.
5. Choose Comfortable, Elegant Outfits
City Hall weddings are stylish but relaxed. Choose outfits you can move in easily —
especially if we'll be walking on cobblestones.
6. Relax and Enjoy
Everything moves quickly at Stadshuset. The best thing you can do?
Let go. Laugh. Hold hands. Be present.
Your wedding may be short — but
your memories won't be.
